DVA Podiatry

All Advance Foot Clinic Podiatry locations accept Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) patients with a valid D904 referral from their General Practitioner (GP). Our podiatrists are happy to provide these eligible patients with bulk billed DVA Podiatry.

Our podiatrists handle everything from skin and nail care, footwear recommendations and fitting to mobility assessments, diabetic care, fungal nail treatment and custom orthotics. We have the skills and experience to help with your lower limb concerns.

DVA Podiatry is offered in clinic as well as within the comfort of your home for eligible patients. Our Mobile Podiatry appointments are offered within a 5km radius of our five Brisbane podiatry clinics, as well as in Mount Isa.

How do I get a DVA Podiatry referral?

To get a DVA Podiatry referral, you will need your GP complete a D904 form. IF you think this might be for you, discuss your eligibility at an appointment with your GP.

What is a D904 referral and what does it entitle me to?

The D904 referral entitles you to 12 months of Podiatry care, or 12 Podiatry appointments, whichever comes first. Therefore if you use 12 appointments before the end of the 12 month period, you will need to get a new D904 referral from your GP to continue treatment.

There is no limit on the number of referrals you can receive from your GP, and we’ll always be sure to let you know if you are in need of a new one.

Is there a difference between Gold and White card Holders?

Yes. Our podiatrists bulk bill DVA Gold Card and White Card Holders. If you are a White Card Holder, to be eligible you must have a condition requiring Podiatry care.

Can I use my referral for Mobile Podiatry?

Yes, you can!

Our helpful receptionists can assist with sorting out appointments for you in your home or care facility and with a valid DVA referral, there is no out-of-pocket cost.
